DESCRIPTION:

The Pitch Cincy and Cobblestone OTR are both high energy and fun bars in OTR with a great work culture.  We are in search of an Operations Manager who will own and execute the core operations of 2 bars. A key component of this role is to “keep the trains well-tuned and running” at both Cobblestone and Pitch Cincy.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • You know the business. You have general knowledge of labor laws, health codes, sanitation, responsible alcohol service, safety and security systems and procedures, and computer operations.

  • Handy man skills including but not limited to mounting, drilling, assembling, painting, cement patching, etc.

  • Thrives on routine, planning out logistics, and executing against a strategic operations plan

  • Outstanding planning and time management required to ensure work is completed efficiently, on-time and consistently

  • Self-motivated and always works with a sense of urgency.

  • Excels in working independently.  There will be no bartending or front of house work in this role, this will strictly be ensuring all of the system, processes, and equipment behind the scenes are always running, preventatively maintained, and on-call for emergency fix situations.

  • Excellent problem solving as it relates to logistics, mechanical equipment, and software.

  • A strong grasp of all systems, processes, and equipment and the necessary troubleshooting, maintenance, and replacement procedures.  Maintaining the necessary inventory of backup parts, and supplies while also having an active vendor contact list for emergencies and on-going maintenance.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Operations Manager is the “conductor” and “mechanic” of both bars.  As Ops Manager, you are motivated by all equipment, software, processes, and systems running smoothly without interruption.  You would enjoy owning and carrying the vision for both bars logistics and planning.  You mainly work independently and with external vendors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Scope of equipment, processes, and systems to maintain:

  • Toast point-of-sale hardware & software (ensuring credit card readers function, software remains updated in advance of business hours, tablets are cleaned)

  • Refrigeration equipment is on a preventative maintenance plan and is checked weekly to ensure vitals are normal

  • HVAC equipment is on a preventative maintenance program with vendor along with in-house changing of filters, updating of thermostat programming, ensuring energy usage is managed to stay under budget

  • Security and access are regularly reset and updated

  • Doors, windows, and locks are checked

  • Mount and dismount special event banners, and signage in a timely manner

  • New floor plan adjustments are planned and well executed in-house (etc., adding a POS station, digital menu board, mobile bar, signage)

  • Well maintained inventory of backup parts and supplies on-site

  • Manages vendor contact list and has positive, efficient relationship with vendors to ensure quick action and priority of service for when needed

COMPENSATION:

  • $60,000 base salary

 

EXPECTATIONS:

  • This is a full-time position with 10 days of vacation
