Bartenders

​

The Pitch is looking for warm, upbeat bartenders to provide an excellent guest experience for our customers.  Must possess excellent communication skills, high levels of patience, and a demonstrative personality.  There will be high-volume game day shifts where Bartenders are required to make fast, accurate drinks while being engaging and personable.  Must have knowledge of beer, wine, spirits and basic cocktails as well as the ability to follow recipes to make Pitch signature cocktails.

Primary Responsibilities:

​

• Greet our guests! -- Acknowledge and welcome customers into the bar and to their table.  Be approachable and personable to staff, and guests ensuring everyone's doing good.

• Make drinks quickly and consistently -- Game days will be high-volume, must make drink orders fast, accurate, and consistent

• Know our menu in and out -- Must maintain an expert knowledge of our menu and offerings, and able to walk our guests through the menu when needed, offer tailored recommendations to customers as needed, and promoting featured items 

• Curious about sports -- Not required to be a sports fanatic, just have interest in sports to elevate our guests' viewing experience

• Manage large groups -- Must maintain composure and an upbeat service while efficiently serving large groups through attentive service, detailed order taking, and quality checks of the drinks before they are delivered.  Also ensure all tabs have a credit card to eliminate unpaid tabs.

• Responsible for pour cost targets, and meeting inventory loss metrics

• Restock and replenish -- Must be able to change a keg, fountain soda, replenish ice.  Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting heavy items.

• Clean & sanitize -- Keep a clean and presentable bar area, restock and replenish bar supplies.  

• Complete closing duties -- This includes storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas.  Return all equipment to proper locations, locking refrigerators, restocking items, turning off lights, locking doors and completing bar closing checklist.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• R&D - Contribute to the development of new menu items (beer selection, cocktails, house shots) aimed to attract, retain, and grow our customer base

• Continual improvement -- Contribute to a culture of continual improvement, be responsible for identifying and providing creative solutions to make the job and overall bar operations more efficient for the entire team

• Stock and maintain the bar with all the required supplies and inventory (eg: beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice cubes etc.)

• Perform any other assigned reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned or as requested by Supervisors or manager.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a high-volume bartender

• Able to suggestively sell food and alcohol to customers

• Ability to keep bar organized, stocked and clean

• Report to work in a neat and clean uniform

• Means of transportation
